Internships provide the opportunity for young people and students to gain valuable experience while at the same time ensuring we support the young workforce and give real and valuable career paths.

xburo trainees work alongside our expert mechanical and electrical engineers and energy consultants to complete a programme of training that opens up the world of work to them. To enrich your experience, we provide our interns with an assigned mentor to support you in training and development – helping you on your journey to fulfil your career aspirations.

Trainees are supported to attend college for up to two years leading to a recognised SVQ qualification. Beyond this, we can assist successful interns to move onto university degree programmes by joining our Graduate Scheme.

You will gain hands-on experience of mechanical and electrical engineering by accompanying our engineers on site, attending meetings, visiting inspections, and shadowing in-house engineers to provide you with the knowledge and understanding of a career in engineering.

Work Experience

Our work experience programme has also given school pupils, school leavers, college learners, undergraduates and graduates, the opportunity to work alongside our engineering experts. We welcome the opportunity to help budding engineers gain experience within the industry – some of whom have been successful in gaining full-time employment with xburo.
