Samuel McCrossan Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical design engineer Samuel McCrossan is responsible for design and delivery of compliant and practical electrical solutions.

Samuel has a strong foundation in onsite electrical installation and commissioning. He has practical experience across industrial, commercial and domestic sectors. It is his practical knowledge that gives him a robust understanding of real-world construction constraints, installation methodologies, and compliance requirements. 

His work covers a range of systems including power distribution, renewables, control systems and fire alarm installations, producing designs that are technically sound and operationally practical.

Samuel supports projects from conception through to delivery, focusing on co-ordination, buildable solutions, and adding value through sustainable design. He holds several industry-recognised qualifications with an electrical focus, including:

•   SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

•   BS 7671 Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)

•   Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certification

•   City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations

Samuel’s expertise is relied on to build collaboration between design and construction teams with a strong foundation in practical delivery and experience. He works with our expert team of electrical engineers and to date has worked on Baird and Anchor Hospital in Aberdeen assisting NEC3 supervisors during the testing and commissioning during the construction phase, as well as assisting the refurbishment of the mechanical and electrical plant systems at Skypark in Glasgow and Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh. 

Personal

Away from electrics, Samuel enjoys spending time on his gravel bike, exploring quiet roads and rougher terrain away from traffic. He has a strong appreciation for good beer and enjoys the balance that time outdoors and good company bring outside of work
