Michael A. Gribben
Michael, together with Thomas Brady, set up xburo to go beyond a traditional mechanical and engineering company and to offer commercially-led mechanical and electrical solutions to Corporate Real Estate projects and transactions.
Identifying a gap in the market, xburo was born to offer a level of expertise that ensured clients would have senior representation on all accounts. This, in turn, has provided our clients with high-quality engineering, value for money, and a client base that regularly turns to xburo for swift and accurate engineering expertise.
Michael, a Chartered Engineer, led the engineering team for CBRE in Scotland and has worked extensively with national engineering companies such as Hully & Kirkwood, FES, and Wallace Whittle over a career that spans more than 20 years. Noteworthy projects include MOD projects across Coulport and Faslane, NHS KSAR (key stage assurance review reports) projects, and acquisition for Net Zero Carbon aspirations for Edinburgh Quay.
Overarching is Michael’s commitment to bring a high level of practical professionalism and commercially-sound advice to clients.

Founders, Michael and Thomas, realised he wanted to develop an engineering company which is a gamechanger with a skilled team of engineering experts at its core. xburo is that offering and delivers for clients while keeping up with an ever-changing industry. Key to the success of xburo has been the talented individuals who have joined since its launch as well as the growing reputation the team is gaining for its exceptional delivery.
Away from engineering, Michael enjoys rugby and a round or two of golf, and ensures he is always home for bathtime. He can never retire now he has two daughters. He is also a skilled marketeer who is responsible for xburo’s infamous golf days which are now legendary and a fixed date in the xburo calendar!
