Liam McAdie Mechanical Engineer

Liam is a Mechanical Engineer and is part of our strategic growth. He previously worked with CBRE and Troup Bywaters & Anders. 

Liam leads and assists in service design as well as providing technical due diligence and surveying across a wide portfolio of building types including healthcare, leisure and commercial office facilities.

Liam has accrued a wide range of experience within the building services engineering field and is knowledgeable in designing, developing and maintaining mechanical systems and components to required specifications, focusing on safety, reliability, sustainability and quality.

Notable projects that Liam has worked on include the refurbishment of the existing Casino building on Edinburgh’s waterfront, which was converted into an office facility; the refurbishment of existing laboratory facilities to suit new and additional needs for the client; and a new boutique hotel and guest lodge facility in the north of Scotland, where a full mechanical design was required from stage one through to stage four. Liam is also experienced in carrying out a wide range of technical due diligence for clients, including condition surveys, asset collection, planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) and dilapidations surveys.

Working at xburo, Liam is involved in the refurbishment of Ocean Terminal, the full refurbishment of Edinburgh Quay at Lochrin Basin and multiple office fit-outs.

Personal
When not calculating, Liam enjoys playing golf, playing football or meeting up with his friends, mostly to play golf or football. When at home he likes watching whatever sport is on the TV at the time, prioritising football, American football and, of course, golf. Liam also has a keen interest in music with a varied and eclectic taste and can also be found enjoying music whilst calculating!
