Hardy Hamilton
Mechanical Engineer
Hardy is a Mechanical Engineer, joining the team as part of our strategic growth. He delivers mechanical projects from design to completion.
He specialises in the design and coordination of mechanical building services, working closely with engineers, architects, and project managers across Xburo’s wide portfolio of clients in healthcare, defence, leisure, residential and commercial office fit-outs.
Alongside his design role, Hardy also contributes to survey led work in technical due diligence, asset condition assessments and producing feasibility reports, supporting acquisitions, and refurbishments to existing buildings.
Hardy has contributed mechanical designs for offices such as 133 Finnieston St and the Bruce Facility, Aberdeen; healthcare facilities such as St Mary’s Hospital on the Isles of Scilly and other NHS facilities in both Scotland and England; and residential developments for CALA homes and Loreburn Housing Association – as well as building a growing portfolio of defence, education, and community buildings.
In survey led work, Hardy has provided technical due diligence for large commercial assets, including the St Enoch Centre. His experience in asset condition surveys covers a large portfolio of buildings for Falkirk Council, as well as NHS facilities in Ayrshire & Arran and North Lanarkshire.
Hardy holds degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Civil and Structural Engineering, providing a broad, multidisciplinary understanding of building design and construction.
Personal
Outside of work, Hardy enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors, with interests including rugby, motorsport, skiing, and the odd round of golf.
