Hardy Hamilton
Mechanical Engineer
Hardy is a Mechanical Engineer, joining the team as part of our strategic growth. He delivers mechanical projects from design to completion.
Specialising in technical due diligence, condition assessments and producing technical reports, Hardy brings cross disciplinary experience as he has prior experience in fire engineering as well as degree qualifications. He holds an MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and a BEng in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Aberdeen.
Previous roles include engineering practices, Hulley & Kirkwood and Jenson Hughes.
Hardy works across Xburo’s wide portfolio of clients within healthcare, defence, leisure, residential and commercial office fit-outs.
Notable projects that Hardy is working on include the multi-million pound refurbishment at Ocean Terminal. As part of the team, Hardy has conducted detailed survey and condition assessments of the shopping centre including a review of existing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules, production of reports incorporating condition review, lifecycle forecasts, and indicative budget costs to advise on potential acquisition for clients. Similarly, he has worked on St Enoch Centre in Glasgow in to deliver technical due diligence to the client as part of the Xburo team.
In design, Hardy has assisted in the design of social care residences, residential homes (Cala), hospital refurbishments, and education and community spaces.
In asset management, he has worked with Falkirk Council, the NHS and Biocity Motherwell. Hardy’s a crucial member of the Design and Mechanical Engineering team delivering our expertise approach to colleagues and clients.

When Hardy is not specialising in technical due diligence, condition assessments and technical reports, he enjoys relaxing and travelling.
